Sometimes planning is half the fun.

I should have all of my supplies for Padme now. Didn't find any gauze for the arm wraps, but there should be something floating around the stash. (Muslin? I have plently stored away from Project LJway.) I'll be doing some dying for the tunic after all. However, monks cloth is 100% cotton, so there shouldn't be too many issues... I think most of my dye issues stem from the fiber content of my chosen fabrics. Too much polyester.

And I found a really great carved stone pendant to use for the center portion of the sash decoration, as well as a 2.5" flat button to use as its base. (The plan is to glue the two together, then add a pin backing so that it will be removable.) Also picked up some brown fabric on clearance  to use as the secondary part of the belt/sash. It doesn't have the little circles embroidered on it, but I think I'm just going to find some simple flat beads and randomly sew those on after the parade. That's one detail I think most people aren't going to notice.

Not too worried about finding the "perfect" shoes at the moment. I'm making the bottom of the pants into modified spats-following labricoleuse's spats pattern-so I'm just going to use comfortable shoes for the parade. Honestly, the route isn't that long, maybe a mile & a quarter, but last year we spent so much time standing around before stepping off, happy feet are a must.
