Biting the bullet
I’ve done it. By June 2, I should have my bikini parts from Jamin & Tomak. Which leaves me just a few days to get the whole thing put together before the exhibit opening. Pressure! There’s not much fabric to this, so it shouldn’t be that bad. And I can get most of the skirt assembled before hand.
Still pondering how to best accomplish the underwear situation. Probably something like Mirax’s solution… attach the underwear to the skirt, and snap the plates to the skirt. If the skirt elastic breaks, the front & back plates should hold it up, and if one of the belt pieces falls off, the skirt should keep it in place. Knock on wood that they both don’t break at the same time!
I also want a vibroaxe, a la the Leia Unleashed figure. But, I doubt there’s time to make on of those between now and then. Maybe for DragonCon, or at least the next time I wear this after opening weekend.
