Remember remember the fifth of November
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot
I can think of no reason why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.

And that's all I know, because I am a stupid American and the only reason I even know that much is because of my undying love of V for Vendetta.

Happy (?) Guy Fawkes Day indeed!

I love that movie too; right after it, I went and found the entire Guy Fawkes poem and made it into an icon. I dunno where it went, though.

Yeah, that would've been horribly controversial, wouldn't it? They would've probably had to issue a statement going "we don't actually want to kill the priest, mind you, it's just part of the movie"

I think all the anti-religion was nicely balanced out with the line "God is in the rain", though :D
