My Ears Are Still Buzzing
Of Montreal was AMAZING.
Not only do they rock hardcore, but they put on a good show. There were costume changes and bad jokes and other amusing stuff. I enjoyed it very very much.
And they sorted of dressed like Rocky Horror Picture Show meets The Beatles. (If you can imagine that) Which is more or less how they sounded too. With a little ska and rock thrown in for good measure.
The band's entire wardrobe was lifted right out of the 70's. They had butterflies on their guitars. The lead singer began the night in a black velvet jacket and a frilly red cravat. (He lost the jacket after one song. Very hot in a skinny/hot kind of way.)
For some reason I was thinking of Erin and Emalee the whole show, and how much they'd have liked it.
Actual Quote: "Trees are erect for nature. What are skyscrapers erect for? That's a deep thought right there."
I like bands more when they talk to the audience.
