Whenever I'm on the computer, typing or just noodling around, surfing, I tend to keep both arms on the desk. The desk doesn't have a keyboard tray-shelf-thingy, so the keyboard is right on the desktop itself. The mouse has migrated from its customary position to the right of the keyboard, and now resides directly in front of the keyboard. (That's Mom's doing. Every time I move the mouse, she complains and moves it back.)
Because the desk is so friggin' deep, the monitor is pushed waaaaaay back, kind of far away from how I'm used to having it (again, Mom complains if I move it), so I tend to lean forward as I surf or type.
This position results in a little pocket that just happens to fit a small Siamese kitten perfectly.
Maia's favorite spot now is resting right on the desktop, purring away like a little motorboat, nestled in between me and the keyboard, framed by my arms. If she can get away with it, she likes to drape herself over the mouse for good measure.
I tell you, I get all warm and fuzzy inside every time she does it. Awwwwwww ...
