More stuff from Taipei

So - yesterday we went Serpentine hunting (a very pretty multicolored stone)... and finally found some.  We went to the Jade Market last weekend hoping to find some there, but to no avail, so we were quite excited to find some at the Chinese Handicraft Mart - a government run store.  See more pictures here.  There's a really nice mineral store in Salem called "Treasures Over Time" on Essex Street and is where I first saw Serpentine.  The owner asked me to see what I could find for a reliable source here in Taiwan.

Anway, after rock hunting, we went to do Karaoke again - this time with Pat and we had a blast.  We took lots of pictures and video clips of us making complete fools of ourselves.  Duncan made me promise not to put the vid of him singing "More than Words" by Extreme onto youtube... but I can be bribed.  Make me an offer.  Last night, we had fondue at a local swiss restaurant.  Yummm.

Today we're off to the beach and I need to remember to bring home some sand for the Endicott science department sand collection.
