So far the highlight of my week has been the absence of kitty poop on the floor. Good kitty. I just can't understand why the cat doesn't feel the need to poop on the floor while I've been away, since when I'm home 24/7 and cleaning the litter box every time she uses it, she still poops on the floor. God dammit, is a little consistency too much to ask?
And why am I always so wrong in judging people? I was out today with my best friend and a friend of hers. This girl (whom I randomly decided to name the Hobbit) seemed like a very nice a person at first. She was funny, and smart and pretty (which is always important). Too bad she decided to change into a complete asshole. I don't see why people feel the need to be an absolute bitch towards people who are just doing their jobs. We were too drunk to leave the bar when it was asked of us. We had lost our jackets. This was our own fault. Why couldn't the Hobbit understand that?
And why is the cat licking my mouse?
And why do people think that Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah is a nice, sweet, religious song?
Well I heard there was a secret chord
that David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Well your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you
She tied you to her kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Well Baby I've been here before
I know this room, and I've walked this floor,
I used to live alone before I knew you
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Well there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me do you
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Maybe there is a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you
And it's not a cry that you can hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
This to me is not a song I would sing in a church. I see the song as someone who is jaded and tired with life singing about love which only brings on heartache. I might be wrong. Sometimes I am.
Dammit kitty, stop licking the mouse. I'm trying to make a drunken posting here!
ETA: Apparently I'm stupid as well, Hallelujah was originally performed and written by Leonard Cohen, not Jeff Buckley. Doh.
