Notes for this chapter: the Revolutionary War in general has always intrigued me not just with the battles fought and the tactics displayed to win the battles, but also the international politics that spanned across the ocean. Its not being currently addressed as much in the actual TV show, due to the specific subject matter that TURN focuses on, but a great case of it can be seen in the HBO miniseries: John Adams. I wanted to bring in more of the international politics that governed the entire war (and give the Sackett family a more interesting and convoluted history than what was their actual history in real-life). I also hope to showcase that not everyone was vehemently for or against British rule in the colonies, so hopefully the next few chapters will prove that not everything was black and white - similiar to Mary's stance in the show. This chapter also helps me build up a case for Nathaniel Sackett being the way he is (along with me still being sore about the fact that he was killed off in the TV show).
Well, onwards ho, and to a very interesting historical future in this season of chapters!
