Seeing that a old friend lists one of my actions as an evil thing, makes me wonder what went wrong.
Is there anything I can do for the sake of old times?

I am not sure, but we can try talking. It is a start.

I would like to ask you for your forgiveness!
I was in deep concern about my brother, and not in the best state of mind, but still, I overstepped my rights, and so I am fully to blame!

Elrond. I cannot give you forgiveness at this time. You have to earn it. I was deeply hurt by you actions, which you do not understand fully the conquences of it. If I had lost Elladan because he believed you over me, I would have faded. Then you would have to explain to my father why his son entered Mandos' Halls.

I can understand that.
I just wanted to make it clear, that you will not have to fear that I would make another inappropriate approach. And so I hope, that you are no longer going out of my way to much

*sighs* So you have noticed that I have been avoiding you. Listen...I will try to mend our friendship for Elladan's sake. It would not be good for him to have his lover and his father distrusting each other for eternity.

For that I will be thankful
Elladan himself has not fully regained his trust inme, so I will give the two of you time

It seems that time is something us elves have in abundence.

Perhaps that is our problem

Some have called immortality both a blessing and a curse. I personally see it as neither, for it is all I know. I do not know what it is like to be mortal, nor do I ever wish to feel what it is like.

I was not talking about immortality, just about time!
We have so much of it, that we need to long to work out things.

Yes. But in the end, we shall be better because of taking time to work out the problem, instead of letting it fester.

Or hold grudges forever!
Look at your father and me. One simple missunderstanding based on some rumors, and 3000 years passed over it

I am glad Ada and you worked out your differences, for it has been much too long a time passed before you two spoke.

I am also glad that we did not allow that to happen to our relationship.

That it one of the thing I try to learn, to elimate the base of the problems as soon as possible.
Silence is the beginn of every great trouble
