Connaught for the First Time
Connaught is good. Simple, small, quiet. I like it more than Trenton (that's not hard to do) and I'm not sure if I like it more than Blackdown.
I like the work environment here, but Blackdown was better in the social department. I feel like I never stop working here. It's very tiring, but at the same time I enjoy it. I get along with all of the officers in the sqn. That's a first too!!! The officers are great, but the staff cadets are lacking.
My rugrats leave tomorrow and we get more on the same day. Stress!!! But not for me because I'm on leave for Friday Saturday and Sunday. Evan is coming and we are going camping. It should be a very relaxing weekend.
He was here last week and I had such a wonderful time. We went out for dinner, saw a movie, did the tour of Parliament and walked around Ottawa, went on a picnic. It was amazing. I miss him like crazy, but I know that I'll be seeing him really soon and that makes me feel better.
I'm happy here. No tears yet!!! That's a good sign! I only wish that Victoria had been here. My one regret.
I miss my family. I miss the kids mostly... and Nana... and Auntie Suzie. It will be nice to see them when I get home.
