"My dear, I'm terribly sad to say you've indeed gone mad. Insane. Bonkers!
But let me tell you a secret... all the best people are."
I saw this and it was delicious. Like... wonderful and brilliant madness. Oh Mr. Burton, you've taken my favourite story and SPUN IT IN CIRCLES and made it somehow more gorgeously awesome.
Only downside was 3D glasses need to be moar sexeh. Ones in cinema make you look like the audience of a Blues Brothers concert.
This also somewhat explains all these Alice/Hatter banners I keep seeing... *ponderously strokes chin* Also those tiny ridiculous hats stores are now producing that I ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE.
Oh Alice, go back and visit Not-Called-Wonderland again! You might be very pretty but OH NO YOU DO NOT GET TO MAKE JOHNNY DEPP LOOK SAD LIKE THAT. *Puts on glasses of srsnss* IT'S JUST NOT RIGHT! Go, sail the world, then tell people you're going to go explore a desert island and then PRETEND TO STAY THERE, SO YOU CAN GO HAVE MAD-CRAZY HATTER FUN TIEMS >:D
Also equally as terrifying/wonderful:
I saw
this,
“I thought I had forgotten her,” he said at last, his voice suddenly unsteady. “I thought … I thought I had begun to be able to live without her.” He sighed and drew a hand across Marguerite’s head. “This is always the way it was, you know. I would think I was beginning to regain my senses; and then I would hear her voice, or see her smile, and my common sense would just dissolve.”
To be honest, I can't quite recall the name or author of this Phic - what I do know is that I scoured through nearly four years of randomly named text documents to find it. Apologies, Oh, Anonymous Author.
