Tonight's workout was a Hero workout, "Gator".
I did a pack'ish workout:
5 rounds for time:
5 front squat, 60 lbs
15 ring push ups
I say the workout was pack'ish as the true pack scaling was 95 lbs front squats, and the puppy was 25 lbs. Those were too high and too low for me, so I did 60 lbs.
Now, this was an awesome workout for a few reasons:
- My first time doing more than 45 lbs in a workout! The 45 bar just wasn't cutting it anymore (too light) so I went and bought some extra weight to add to it. Even at 60 lbs, the front squats were pretty easy; I should have had more on there.
- I did the entire workout doing ring push ups!!!! That's 75 in total! Woo Hoo!!!! Ring push ups are *HARD* and I'm amped I managed to do them all. That's a new personal milestone for me.
My time was 10:25. It was raining by the time we were finished.
Remember, celebrate the small victories, for they are just that: victories.
