I was feeling a lot better yesterday, except a ways more tired than usual. So I went in to work, and mostly caught up and organized the books, then took my guys' advice and cut out a little early. And when I put my one mechanic in charge, he took a joking dig that I can't exactly repeat, but it had to do with my cell phone and Sandy, so I laughed

Um, if she ever lets go of my hair, I'm going to get right on it. She wants me to tell you her side of it, though, so I guess I better, unless I want to have to eat my own cooking again, which I don't. She's been calling around trying to list this place for sale, and all the realtors keep saying the same thing, that it's not a good time to list a business if you want to sell it anytime soon, and it might be better to wait a few months. Problem is, I can't help thinking that a few months from now, the season's going to be basically over, and who's going to want to buy it then? So we're busy hashing out what our options are right now, not sure what to do at this point.
She did say she found a good movie on sale at Target for $5, called Sleepless In Seattle. She liked it a lot, but I thought it was a little sappy, but for the price, I don't think it's bad. It cost us each more than that to see it at the theater.
Business itself has been awfully good and busy since we got back, probably since the weather's been pretty nice. Not a lot of extended rentals so far, but plenty of daily and hourly ones, which seriously add up. And if we can keep up a steady stream of them, they could end up more than the extended rentals, by a long shot.

I guess maybe that may be your niche for the time being, though. Lots of people are out of work, and money's tight, so a whole lot of people are rethinking the idea of going on vacation this summer, so needless to say, I was a little worried about you guys. Renting a boat or whatever for a day, or even an hour or so, though, may be a lot easier for most people to swing. And face it, most people do need to at least get away for a day or weekend and kick back and relax, or they get stressed out. So that one may end up more income for you guys than it ever has before.
I hope the thing about this being a bad time to list a business for sale isn't going to turn out to be a nationwide thing, because I'm really hoping mine will sell before too long. But if it does take a few months for things to open up, I think I can live with that, since mine's definitely more of a year-round business, and if anything, I take in more business in the winter, for a number of different reasons.
I'll have to hit Target and see about picking up a copy of that movie. It may or may not end up something I like that much, but I can't help thinking you may have a point, for 5 bucks, how bad can it be?
