back from berlin
There are like a gazillion things I could update about in this entry... so much happened in Germany! Currywurst! Sauerkraut! (You can tell where my priorities are...). It was an incredibly fun trip, but I'm glad to be back. As always. It was just too cold. And it snowed the entire time we were there. Literally. Berlin is a great city that I highly recommend, though. I also recommend the Free Tour! I've never had so much fun freezing my ass off walking around a city for 4 hours in the snow. We also bought really good German chocolate! Delicious.
Some more highlights?
1. Wandering around a random area looking for the cafe Glitz told us about... we don't think it exists because we couldn't find it.
2. Drinking my giant Wizenbier!
3. Bowling (and more drinking)!
4. Snow angels and Trevor (the snowman).
5. Posing with statues.
6. The New Berlin free tour (it had to be mentioned again) and Chris, the most amazing tour guide EVER!
7. German chocolate!
8. Crazy roommates who party all night long (from Sardinia, I think. Close to Italy).
9. "Zaz" and other great quotes.
10. The Martin Luther statue I took my picture in front of.
11. The Pergemon museum and free headsets.
12. Ridiculously comfortable comforters.
Other big news in the life of Rica: Stefanie told me tonight that we got into North Hall!!!! I'm so excited! I get to live in a nice place! Not that I don't love Hughes... it's just that it's actually NEW. It has a lift! I mean... elevator! That in itself is cool. And we'll have a living area and kitchen and bathrooms and our own rooms (I think?)! It's just crazy. I've been spoiled lately... everything seems to have been going well for me. That'll probably change soon. Maybe not. There's always the British Studies test on Wednesday to spoil everything, though.
