Im watching the 2008 National Heads Up Poker Championships and I am loving it. I have always been a big fan of poker, as I still play it regularly whenever I am in Wayne. At first, it was friendly games between usually myself, Won, Dan Krause, Dustin Kucko, and Justin Huyhn. Later it got into late nights almost daily for weeks at a time with an added Mike Ratner and random visiters every now and then. Recently, whenever I visit home, I am going to these houses playing with Elan, Sly, Justin, blah blah until like 3-4 AM. Prob going to play at the Bloomfield later this week too... I kinda feel like a rounder lol. Overall, I guess I am up quite a sum, but I haven't played that much recently, so I'm rusty. ANYWAY, this is all besides the point.

The point I was originally trying to make was talking about the "sport" of poker. I will not discuss it's sportness although personally I dont believe it is. I have a past journal entry on sports if you care although this is now mostly a way to remember my past thoughts since I have pretty terrible memory. Trailing...

thats the old entry.

k. poker. Ive watched poker for a long time since before the craze when Moneymaker made this game as famous is it is now. Back then the prize money was like 1 million. The 2006 WSOP was 12 million. I kinda stopped watching since then since I went to college and stopped wtaching TV for some reason. Trailling again...

The 2008 National Heads Up Poker Championships was on, and I was watching it for the first time. And I noticed, this is an event with 64 people doing a "March Madness" style tournament where we split the players up and they just start playing each other heads up until there is one left. Here is a picture since my explanation is terrible. But on second thought Im too lazy to search for a picture. My point is as sports grow, even with only 1 winner, we see patterns in an aspect of the game. Playing in teams makes games much more interesting since multiple people gives so many more options, and shows the true power of numbers, which I ALWAYS talk about, like how ants are so awesome and shit. But yea, NASCAR has gone that path, where you can slingshot and do strategy and shit. Its pretty interesting. Hmm just realized. Playing in teams is strictly prohibited in poker, since thats makes major disadvantages. However, if it were allowed, I think the game would be VERY interesting. But its not. Oh well. haha. I ruined ur time!

Also, I did one of those politics quizzes to see what I am, and comparing it with my old result from 2 years ago, Im pretty much the same, but a little bit more liberal. I always said I was kinda Republican. I am a Social Conservative Economic Liberal. hmm. I guess Democracy is ok. haha.
