(I found this post today -- I wrote it several weeks ago, but never posted. Not that there's much, but might as well..)
I got a new computer.
Well, ok I got 2. I also recently purchased a Mac Pro that cost more than my car. But the new computer I'm talking about is a new Dell, Windows Vista (yay.) PC, to replace the computer I've had since before I worked at Books-A-Million. Altogether, Chris and I have a wireless at-home network with 3 Macs, and 2 PCs, one of which we're going to use as a network server for media storage.
Yea, we're not nerds at ALL....
Anyway, I've been busy busy transferring all my files to the new PC. One especially ingenious thing (I thought) I tried was rigging Thunderbird to upload all the old OLD emails that were physically located on my old computer to gmail.
Memories ensue.
I have emails from 9-11-01, emails about changing imoods (does anyone remember that?! I swear, I have emails from all of you...), emails about spats and loves and crushes and hopes....so many of which I had forgotten about. The letters were so passionate, but they have almost no bearing on my life today. Funny.
