Back to oldschool.

With pure lack of anything better to do I've decided to learn the VALVe Hammer Editor so I can once again get back into mapping. Of course I haven't mapped anything since the days of Doom and Doom II so I figure it's time to get back in gear and learn the modern mapping programs. Of course I fiddeled around with Radiant for a while, which was quite complicated. Then again I used to map on DEU and DeepSEA for doom... which was well... full 2d.

Hammer seems to be a simplified version of Radiant with more functions and optimization options. Though it is still very foreign territory compared to 2d mapping. I hope with practice I'll become as good with it as I was back in the day.
