I love doing the big PT shows. they are challenging and usually fun and a *lot* of work and I always feel best about myself when I am up to my eyeballs in work I can handle. They are the sort of busy that makes me forget about all the rest of the stuff I have to do, unfortunately. So when I get back from them. there's hell ta pay. always. Things are always a little "off" in the store (assuming I, or someone I stole to go to the show, are running it). The projects are always there when I come back (the back stage is still a disaster and there's about 2000, sq ft of carpet yet to be put down before the 7th). there's a pile of opreations type stuff from sorting out my distributor bill which has gone horribly wrong to getting payroll done.

but I still love them. Yesterday was hard on me because some timing issues screwed my day. Cedan's good friend came into town and he needed to spend rare time with him. so I needed to get him out of here last night and he's off today to hang. On top of that lindsey's folks were in town and wanted to do lunch with us so I had sort of a destroyed morning between sleeping in a bit (slept 8 whole hours, yo!) then watting for her folks to give us the "come meet us" call. then hours doing that. and back to B-ville to gear up and hit the store to get cedan out.

so I had some shipping things to do.. time sensitive to wotc regarding PT stuff and i had an epic fail. I did not get them out in time. it took me over an hour to get them packed up and shipped using the online tools that usually take me minutes. so frustrating. and I was in a hurry so I didn't even take time to wipe the dog shit off my shoes that go there because out apt neighbors suck and don't clean up after their dogs. so whle I'm being destroyed by the USPS system and the clock... I was sniffing dogshit the whole time. needless to say by 6pm when I got back from my "too late for getting out today" dropoff I was in a mood most foul. I took a few mins before cedan left for hte night to collect myself and clean off my shoe.

It was 9:30 and almost go home o'clock before I realised I hadn;t eaten since lunch (about 3) and that had been my only food of the day. I was starving when I got home and then i ate too much and felt like crap again. ug.

but on teh bright side of things after wrestling with the ticketmaster system... I have NIIICE tix for the UFC87 at the target center on August 9th. Lindsey and I agreed that this would take the place of both christmas and birthdays for both of us this year... how many other times are we going to get the opportunity to see a GSP title fight up close and personal? should be nuts. John is totally stoked too. he sent me a text last night randomly that said "UFC! WOO!"

:)

what a great kid. He's doing SO well right now. he's been working (possibly a bit too much) and they gave him a $.75 raise at his 90 day review EVEN KNOWING he was going to be quitting for the summer early june so he can go stay with his cousins (my family) in IL for the summer. They've told him he will almost certainly be able to get his job back post summer. He's still knocking down the As in school. getting a bit bored and worried that he's not getting what he needs. We're going to look into a charter private school for him for next year. I need to do a lot of investigative work before that happens but he's looking forward to maybe pushing the boundaries a bit. He's a sophomore and already out of math classes at his HS from what he says... he's WAAAAY better at that stuff than I ever was. i have always struggled with math.
