Today was nice. I requested the day off work because I had a dentist appointment. It only took an hour, but I thought I'd be bad and take the whole day off.
Mum also had the day off so after my appointment we went shopping. We haven't just been 'shopping' for a long time. Just going into shops and looking at stuff. She got a new pair of earrings (on sale for $8, yay for sale items!) and I got a new bracelet (on sale for $9. Again, yay for sale items!) and some hair clips (buy one get one free. Did I mention I like sales? LOL). We then had lunch at the malls brand new food court and poked around some more.
We went into the pet store and looked at the puppies and kitties and said hello to Elmo, who is the parrot who lives there. He's been there since before I can remember, so he's probably older than me. Afterwards we went into Future Shop.
I haven't bought anything from Future Shop for months because of our money problems. Anyone who knows me knows that I rarely leave Future Shop without anything. I just wanted to check the price of season 6 of Hercules TLJ and X-Files season 1. I heard the X-Files DVD's have been going down in price (thank god!). Anyway Herc S6 was $35.99 and X-Files S1 was $49.99. Talk about a price drop, the last I saw them they were about $80-$100 a season. I showed mum, dropping hints for my birthday even though I know I won't get much, and she said that I could get one. I almost fell over. I haven't made a purchase like that for months or gotten permission for one like it. Come to think of it I don't remember when I last got a DVD (still don't have Elizabethtown, either). I know mum's been feeling really bad for me and our situation. She knows I want to save up for stuff but can't. Guess which one I got? Neither. Why, I don't know. But I know I'll get them someday, so I left with nothing and felt alright about it.
When we got home we let George out. He was in the window meowing at us as we came down the driveway. Poor guy. He came in and started meowing at us for food. He has one of the loudest meows I've ever heard. Silly boy. After he finished the leftover kitty food I thought I'd take a picture or two of him. I was very surprised when I found out he was the biggest camera whore ever. He just sat there and posed and posed. It was hilarious.
I love him. And he isn't even our cat. XD
