shaibitch, I got the card today! Thank you very much, I love seeing your piggles and ferrets. <3
It has been confrimed that there will be a season six of Supernatural.
Dean Winchester ILU SFM.
I am very happy to hear this, although I do have some reservations about it all. Kripke will be stepping back and now Sera will be in charge. Of course the fandom is freaking the fuck out about it all (either good or bad). SPN fandom you never fail to state your opinions. I for one am neither super worried or super excited. The show is in good hands and despite it changing around who is going to be in charge (slightly), at least they have someone who has been there from day one. They could have gone with someone completely new and then I'd be worried.
Season six. This show has had six seasons already?!?!?! Crazy. I hope it's a good one and I hope that they take a step back from what the show has become with the Apocalypse, maybe go back to more simple monster of the week' kind of episodes with a not as huge 'life vs. death/free will vs. no free will'. Give the boys a break already, geeze.
In other news:
I WANT THIS IRON MAN FIGURE!!! Although $174.99 is a bit steep, so I think I'll just have to settle with a figure from Wal*Mart. I can put him next to my Captain Kirk figure and have them both standing in the Tardis that I have (I don't have any Doctor Who figures to put in my Tardis........ that sounded kinda wrong). When fandoms collide, like woah.
And last but not least... CONGRATULATIONS TO MAELLE RICKER ON WINNING GOLD in ladies snowboard cross! A second gold medal for Canada AND she is from North Vancouver, which makes it all the more awesome since she lives within the community.
Having the Olympics here right now is kind of amazing. The whole city is buzzing and just so much pride and excitement. They showed a shot of down town Vancouver on the news and the streets were absolutely packed. On a Tuesday evening. That has never happened (while I've lived here) and so awesome to see all the countries and people just mixing and having a good time.
I wish I was able to get tickets to some events, but sadly when they went on sale we couldn't afford them and even now we can't afford them (if there were any to be had). Still there are free events to take part in around the city and I know that dad wants to go to some of them and bring us with him. So we'll see what happens.
