Until tonight I was a stove top popcorn virgin. I had always used microwaveable popcorn or an air popper before this (I think dad gave ours away when he moved). *dies laughing*

Oh man, is there a difference in OUR ages. I learned to make popcorn in a pan when I was 8. When the hot-air popper came out a few years later, it was a minor miracle wonder machine, akin to the VCR (come to think of it, it may have been around the same time the VCR was finally affordable enough to actually *buy*).

I remember I always used to use our air popper, it was awesome.

I remember when VCR's were over $150 or whatever. Today they're just big paper weights.

OMG, stove popcorn is sooooo retro. I think it's been 10 years since I had any.

I don't think I'll go back to microwave popcorn. Stove popped is so nice and fluffy and not too oily.

One time I was babysitting these kids and I had to make stove top popcorn for them.

...I didn't put a lid on the pot. There was popcorn EVERYWHERE!!

We used to have an Air popcorn machine. I loved that thing. It became obsolete when we go our microwave.
