[The feed comes on as audio, first. It's actually silent for a good couple of minutes, save for the occasional sound of crunching gravel and dirt beneath the soles of shoes. Once, there's a sound like a door being pushed open, one that's in dire need of a good oiling

[Hanekoma isn't sure whether to be relieved at the sight of a familiar face or doubly unhappy that this place has dragged both him and Joshua in. Either way, though, he's keeping his face neutral. He hasn't had enough time with these little phones to work out how to keep conversations properly private.]

[Don't worry - Joshua's all about being subtle about things. This is no exception. And it's nice to have Hanekoma here, too, wherever this is. He doesn't have to wait for rescue.]

It looks like I've ended up close to some sort of pyramid.

Pyramid, huh? Well, I oughta see you pretty soon, then. Think I can pick that out on the skyline.

[Thoughtful pause.] So they tell me the place goes by "Adstringéndum," and we've got people here from all kindsa places and times.

I'll wait for you here, then.

[He pauses, thinking that over.]

It seems a fitting name for the description. I was beginning to think this was something out of Minamimoto's wildest dreams.

Not quite organized enough, don't ya think? [He shoots the screen a quick grin and starts walking, sighting on the pyramid on the horizon. With whatever the planes here are doing, he's not about to risk trying to move any faster than that.]

[He'll just wait here, then! He's noticed, too, that something is off here. He can't feel Shibuya very strongly at all. Only just a fraction.]

[It's quite a while on foot, but the pyramid makes an excellent landmark. By the time he gets there, it's been about half an hour, and he's spotted and avoided a couple of rabbits already. Apparently that girl was telling the truth about them.

He raises a hand in greeting as he spots Joshua, trying again to turn his Frequency a bit higher. He can sense the Composer, but what power there is in this place... it's fractured, like static, babbling randomly all over what seems to pass for the higher planes.]

[In the meantime, Joshua has managed to avoid any sort of danger thus far by miracle alone - he's not about to go about kicking rabbits and kittens. Instead, to keep himself busy, he's been testing the waters with altering his Frequency. He can shift it just the tiniest bit, but it wears him out rather quickly.

Seeing Sanae, he stands from his perch on a nearby broken piece of wall, brushing out his shirt.]

I hear there are spirits, here. The Animus.

Heard the same myself, but I'm not gettin' a solid read on anything.

[He shakes his head and shoots Joshua a glance that's half amused and half entirely serious.] You havin' issues adjusting your Frequency, or is it just me?

...Either way, it doesn't look like I'm gonna be able to get out of this place the usual way.

I can barely manage to adjust it. Not even enough to slip into another plane. And I have to admit, it's rather exhausting to do.

[He crosses his arms, frowning.]

We'll just have to find our own way, then. I've heard word that these Animus have a slight bit of control over the comings and goings of this place.

I'm not entirely sure the planes are where they oughta be. [Frowning briefly himself before he shrugs it off.] That, or I'm just messed up by all the static.

Heard the same thing myself. You think they might be up for some kinda deal?

[It's a reasonable supposition. He raises his eyebrows.] Suppose it might be interestin' to find out how they do it, whether they're willin' to deal or not.

Everything feels out of place. I can barely feel Shibuya at all. [And he doesn't like it. Not one bit.]

I want to track down their location. Attempting to make a deal with them is likely going to be our best option right now.

Same here. [And that worries him just as much.]

[At the suggestion, he nods briefly.] Not a bad idea. I wouldn't mind seein' just what sort of beings they are, myself.

[Joshua slips his hand into his pocket, touching his cell phone. At least it's still there.]

Do you think you can manage some kind of tracker here? Or would that be a little out of your reach?

I'd have to work out just what I was tracking first, and figure the system on these things out a bit better... if you're willin' to wait a couple weeks I might be able to hammer something out.

[If time's gone weird, that might be less time at home than it is here; or it could be more. He frowns.]

Not sure we want ta wait quite that long, though.
