[The video opens to the sight of a skinny red headed man perched on a bench, the camera angled up so that there's a slight glare on the thick, rectangular glasses and to capture the blue sky filled with lazy, puffy clouds behind him. He opens his mouth to speak, until a curious mareep leaps up and into the shot, the cream colored fluff blocking him almost completely from view.]
Maaarrreee?
[He sighs, then, reaching to pick her up and set her to one side with a soft whisper of 'Mokka, cut it out I'm trying to do something, here!' And then, finally, a little disgruntled and pink in the cheeks with embarrassment, he turns back to focus on the camera.]
A lot of people have been asking about their friends, family, and their worlds. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the sheer fact of the matter is that they probably aren't here. [He pauses to let the impact settle.] I don't know if they'll be here eventually, considering our universes have been targeted, but for now the chances are pretty low of you finding them. As for getting back home, well...
[He adjusts his glasses, eyes lowering to half mast.]
Let's just say it isn't the easiest thing to accomplish. The only person in my universe who was ever extracted from another was left as a shell of a person, a... 'Ghost' with flesh. It's very complicated science, and I'm not even sure if this universe has the means to produce a machine that could send everyone home. Plus, I think the ones that brought us here would be pretty upset with us not appreciating their gifts.
Who knows, this may be a welcome reprieve for some of us. The Pokemon world is pretty non-violent and safe -- you definitely don't have to worry about your team dying, and most conflicts are solved through Pokemon battles for sport's sake, if nothing else. I know we all have responsibilities back home, but if we're lucky maybe time here doesn't elapse at the same rate it does in our worlds.
But unless you can find a pokemon capable of universe travel, I'm going to settle on you're probably out of luck having any contact with home, or anyone still there, for a long time.
