KAI MURANAKA | Big brother
Kai's Yutaro's older brother. At a first glance, he can look intimidating or stoic. However, Yutaro has been him long enough to know there's more to his big brother than meets the eye. Kai looks out and tries to be the best example for Yutaro, which he doesn't mind at all. He likes the fact that Kai always taught him interesting things, like his knack for poetry or his strong sense of honor and justice. Despite being almost the opposite of each other, Yutaro and Kai has an interesting dynamics both in and outside of the field. And they totally look alike, I mean, they both emerald eyes so that counts, 'kay?
NORIHEI MURANAKA | Dad
Hoo boy, where to even begin? Okay, Yutaro has great admiration for his dad from the legend he made 20 years ago and he does know what's best for him. But, above almost anything, Yutaro hates that he hits him in the head whenever he cause trouble. Granted, he knows that any kid gets the same treatment, but his dad punches are brutal. Heck, it's a miracle that he or Kai hasn't suffer permanent brain damage yet. Even so, Yutaro still loves his pa like any kid should and he's pretty sure dad feels the same way, like any parent should.
SOJI OKI | Best friend | Alternate Battery
Oki's awesome. Sure, he has a depressing aura that you're positive ghosts and evil are engulfing his body whenever he gets 'too excited' in pitching, but that's the interesting part of him. In reality, they both balance each other out, Yutaro was Mr. Sunshine and Oki was Mr. Gloomy. But because of this, Yutaro himself was sure that if Oki never befriended him, he would be consume by his negativity within seconds, but they became fast friends so it's all good anyways. They're friendship also make them a great battery, while not as good as the sibling battery with him and Kai, it's still pretty good.
All in all, Yutaro loves Oki as a friend. During that time when he fled in panic, he was equally, if not, more worried than anyone else in the team. Though it be nice if he'd stop being kinda creepy...
ISAMU KODON | Udon{-senpai} | AWESOME
Udon! Udon! Udon! The only person that seconds Oki is Udon in Yutaro's awesome chart. Over confident, loud and vulgar are Udon's strong points but Yutaro doesn't mind them at all! They made Udon one of the funnest members of the team! Yutaro also likes the fact that he can appreciates the simple things in life. And porn. Though he doesn't really understand his love of porn...
Even though he seemed nothing but a really crazy guy to most, Yutaro knows that he's actually a big softie deep down. When he wanted to bring everyone to the semi-finals, Udon was the one who said he believed in him, when Oki fled from coming up to bat, he was there to convince him too, and when Yutaro cried from the lost in the field, Udon was the first one to ran up to him to give him a hug and assured him that it was okay. Yeah, even though he's a bit perverted and likes to shout vulgar words, Udon's like another awesome big brother to him.
TOSHI HIJIKATA | Hijikata | Ex-tennis player
To Yutaro, Hijikata's just... really weird. Yep. There isn't much to say about him that won't make him upset.
According to Kai and Udon, he transferred schools around the time the three of them were in their 2nd year. Udon said it was due to financial trouble of his family, and, somehow, it kinda makes sense. Only rich people acts like Hijikata, just without rags as clothes. Then there's that fish bone he keeps in his mouth as a replacement to a rose. Maybe the rumors are true... If they are, it makes sense why he has a nasty fit whenever people calls him poor... don't call him that though, it became a taboo around the school. So Yutaro kinda barely connects with him, but he still likes the guy though.
AMAKUNI SARUNO | A worthy rival from Junishi
Saruno's definitely worthy opponent! Amazingly, he also broke that school clock like his dad did 20 years ago, that's pretty impressive! His strength nearly overpowered his own. Not only that, he's pretty funny too and tells jokes similar to Udon's style. He's pretty sure they both started bonding via trading porn magazine, weird guys think alike. Along with some kids from other teams, Saruno and him got to be representatives for the Saitama team and it was awesome working with him!
No matter how much he convince people, no, Saruno's not the captain of Junishi. Not by a long-shot.

Ren was the first person he met in Mayfield, granted, they were both assigned to be a fake family. Anyways, while Ren's definitely not Kai, he's pretty cool like him and Udon, which is definitely a plus in his book! He can't help but feel there's something he's hiding from him, but he isn't going to force it. A guy's got to have his personal space, he definitely understands that. He'd like to know him better, maybe they could be the best of friends, who knows.
