It's about time other people started getting these journal things! I've had one for ages, since even before I knew about NetGo. I let it die, though, since I didn't know anyone else online. But now I saw Shindou has one, and I think I saw one that could belong to Ko Yeong-ha. It's all in Korean, though, but I think that's just more proof that it ( Read more... )

Wow, no shit, really, Shindou? I never would have known you found it if you hadn't specifically SAID you did!

My earliest entries are earlier than you becoming an insei. I've just made them private so you can't see the crap I wrote about Sai when I was a kid.

I like your idea of that exclusive community... Waya and Isumi and that weird kid with the blond bangs sounds like a good name...

Hey, shut up! It was four years ago!

Of course I have. It's how people know me. If I kept changing my name whenever I felt like it, people wouldn't be able to see I was on if they wanted to challenge me. Like with 'sai.' That name is now synonymous with the best Go player alive. If he logged in as, say 'bob,' no one would know it was sai. Until he started playing. He's too distinctive to miss for long. But if I logged in as 'waya' now, the people I've been playing NetGo against for four years wouldn't know it was me until I told them. It's just easier to stick with what everyone knows.

four years or not thats fucking hilarious. if it makes you feel any better waya i couldnt even type back then i had to get one of my friends sister to do it for me

that makes sense tho- at the same time i dunno sometimes i get tired of people challenging me once they realize im decent so i go on other names for a while

Bah, I like getting those challenges. I like playing against as many different players as I can. Even if they suck, if I can teach them something, then it was a worthwhile game.

But yeah, sometimes if I don't want to be challenged, if I just want to watch a game or something, I use a different name too. I'd do that when watching sai's games. It's not as fun when you have to keep clicking out of game requests.

Shindou... urg. Honestly. I could have gotten him on here too, I just would have been a bit slower--not slower getting him to come on, but slower in my approach!--and not broken his email in thirty seconds like you did.

But, yay, Isumi-san's on now, so we can make that Waya and Isumi and blond-banged kid community!
