Per our
forum post on June 17th, we're raising funds to create ads for the upcoming conventions, and we're now looking for creative* design ideas for rip-away posters that will be displayed around the San Diego Convention Center during
Comic Con. Rip-away posters are very viral advertising vehicles. You can see examples on this
page.
Please make sure to follow these 4 steps:
1. SPECIFICATIONS FOR POSTER DESIGN (as set by our vendor,
Street Virus):
- Finished size: 18x24 inches portrait
- Color or black & white
- Please include 1/4 inch bleeds all around
- Print ready PDF is preferred but can accept AI files with all fonts outlined
- 300dpi preferred for any pictures
2. UPLOAD INSTRUCTIONS:
Please upload your poster ideas on Photobucket:
http://s914.photobucket.com/home/SaveOurSeeker/allalbums.
Create an Album with your name so we'll know who created the ad.
Feel free to use the comments field to include your name, how we can
contact you, etc.
Username: saveourseeker
Password: seeker
Deadline: Extended until Sunday, June 27th, 5pm PDT
3. POSTER TEXT:
<*center*>Header: LEGENDARY SUMMER OF SEEKER (all caps without separating the text)
Body text: Action. Magic. Adventure. Romance.
To find your local time and channel,
visit legendoftheseeker.com (no "www.")
NOTE: Please use ALL of the text above without modifying it. Our goal is to recruit new fans to the show, rather than educating existing fans about the campaign. The entire text above IS the primary message. "Save Our Seeker" is secondary .
Nice to include in fine print: This ad was made possible by generous donations from 'Legend of the Seeker' fans around the world. <*/center*>
4. IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS:
* About "creative designs", there are copyrights and trademark issues we need to work around. Even "Legend of the Seeker" is trademarked, hence the "creative header".
- No photos from the show (i.e. screencaps, promo photos, logos, etc.) for legal/copyright issues.
- Only FULL silhouettes can be used if using photos from the show, i.e., all black, only the outline can be seen. It's ok to have one silhouette only with the Seeker, or Richard and Kahlan for example.
- Creative concepts like this constellation image would be great: http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/3154/richardstars.gif
- Any images from free public domain photo databases are allowed.
We may do a poll to choose the best design if we get many submissions. Feel free to contact
contact@saveourseeker.com for any questions/suggestions/concerns.
