Tough love - Cara loves Khalan
I am quite taken with this pairing, and so i thought i'd make a little picscam.
(I cant work these stupid HTML'S, btw.)
So. I think that my number on ship on this show will always be Richard and Khalan. I think they love each other totally.
But i also think Cara loves Khalan totally.
At the moment, I don't think Khalan quite loves her back yet. Hopefully soon she'll (That meaning the writers) realise how great they are together!
:) so, reasons. (I just re read them and realized there kinda lacking in humor. Oh wellz.)
1. Cara's gay, and Khalan's hot.
Cara is so obviously gay. For one, she takes baths and makes out with women. Also, whenever we have seen her with a man, she uses him. She does not respect men and will use them as toys. As a Mord'Sith she has probably only really trained men and tortured them, and has never been taught to show them respect.
And Khalan's hot. Were all gay when it comes to her.
2. She takes her advice
Cara took Khalan's advice off her own accord. She tries to make herself a better person, and it seems like she's using Khalan as a guide. I think she's using her as a role model, because she knows how good and fair Khalan is.
3. She's the first to ask
Cara always seems to be concerned for Khalan. When she awakes from the nightmare, for instance. She is the first to ask whats wrong with her, even though she knows she's probably going to tell them. This, to me, makes it seem like a reflex for Cara. Like she cant help but ask. Also, on an earlier ep (the first i think) When Richard sends Khalan to a group of Mord'Sith in a cave, Cara is the first to object.
4. They can see each other. Really see each other, each others souls
I think this scene says it all really. She'd die so Khalan could do what was right.
5. She'd kill someone if they upset her
Even though she so loves her, she knows Khalan loves Richard. She's willing to kill some 16 year old girl so that Khalan can have him back. (If that doesn't say love, idk what does ;)) And, what i also liked, was that Khalan is the one to stop her. Being a Mord'Sith, Cara would normally zap someone with her dildo of doom Agiel if they stopped her. But she does what Khalan says.
So i could only think of five. Sue me. I was going to put the bits with Cara and Khalan messing around with that agiel - thats sounds incredibly wrong- i meant this bit:
But i thought the only reason for love i could write there, and not just a twisted sense of lust, was that Cara does not want to hurt her. But that of course, is not strictly true. ;)
So there you have it. Six reasons and scenes from season 2 to show how much Cara the Mord'Sith loves Khalan the confessor.
I will probably do more after a few more episodes. If anyone can think of any more scenes/reasons that should be in there, let me know.
