In honor of upcoming Scully Month, LW, Inc. is doing another charity drive as a virtual team for the IBG, Inc. “All Things” Event. We are collecting money for OTSK (Off the Street Kids) organization but with a fun twist--a virtual screening of the “All Things” episode of The X-Files, plus the 1998 feature film, The X-Files: Fight the Future. We will be hosting this on April 30, 2011 starting at 8 pm eastern standard time (USA).
For your charitable donation of at least $5 to our PAYPAL at legendarywomeninc@gmail.com , you will receive a link to a chat room in which X-philes across the globe will simultaneously watch the Scully-centric episode from entitled “All Things”. After a 15 minute intermission, we will then screen the entire feature film.
Over the course of this roughly three hour event, we will have trivia, fun facts, some transcribed commentary from the dvd, deleted scenes to view, even a drinking game for those over 21.
Additionally, we are auctioning off an playbill from David Duchovny’s off-Broadway play Break of Noon, autographed by Fox Mulder himself. The signature is authentic; we can show you the pictures to prove it.
Additionally, if you donate $20 or more, you will receive specially commissioned icons tailored to your requests!
We hope you will join us and take part in this one of a kind event!

I don’t have that episode!

I don’t have the Film!

· Several copies of the film are available in used condition on half.com and Amazon Marketplace for less than $2, probably $5 total for shipping, but you might want to act on this option right away to be in time for the event.
How much is going to the charity?
100% of your donation will go to OTSK. If you donate $5, $5 will be given to charity. If you donate $100, all of it will be given to charity. It is not costing LW, Inc. any money to organize a virtual team for helping IBG, Inc. so there is no overhead to cover.
Can’t I just donate directly to the charity?
You certainly can, but this is a charity drive, so they are organizing and collecting the donations to send in one lump sum and asking fans to donate through virtual party in order to participate.
Is this legit? How do I know you are not taking my money?
LW has done two successful charity drives for CDRF, which you can read about here

Our 501©3 paperwork is in progress.
How can I donate?
Paypal or snail mail. Paypal is preferred to legendarywomeninc@gmail.com .
Can’t I just give the chat room link to my friends if they don’t donate?
You can, but we are operating on the honor system. Since it’s for charity, we are confident that everyone will be willing to donate to join the fun.
I’m international- will there be an event at a more convenient time for me?
The only one we have planned that we are participating in is the one scheduled for __April 30, 2011_. We were hoping that having it on a Saturday night would maximize participation for everyone. However, chat rooms do not expire; you are free to organize a group with other Philes and use the room at a later date.
I won’t have time to participate in the rewatch. Can I still donate?
Yes, yes please! Your generous donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated!
What about the auction?
The auction will take place during the 15 minute intermission between the episode and the film. It will be a Livejournal auction (comment to bid) so that we don’t have to pay overhead to ebay. You have to be in the chat room to get the link to the auction.
