Talking to Takato made me remember: He would have been sixteen today. He always did find it ironic that I was older than him but he was so much smarter. I always told him that was unfair because he was a genius, but did he listen? Of course not.

But enough of that. I've been thinking: Maybe one of these days I should write a DIY guide. So, You've Been Dumped in a Digital Wilderness: How to Survive in the Digital World, by Ryo R. Akiyama.

...I like the sound of that. Right, if we make it back alive I'm dropping out of school and becoming a author! No doubt Mama will kill me.

There's something weird about this digital world that's making me remember a lot more lately. I knew I had a Super Famicom when I was little, but I'd forgotten about the X-Men game from Uncle Jun. I knew his birthday was in January, but for years no matter how hard I tried I couldn't remember the actual date. I guess my subconcious is finally picking up on how I feel more alive in digital worlds than in the 'real' one.
