[He's never been as fast as Gamzee, couldn't even hope to be really, but that didn't mean he couldn't try. It's too soon for Gamzee to be on his own, and Karkat really doesn't want to be apart from his moirail when he knows he's needed anyways. The route doesn't seem as long when he's running, as long as it took him, Strider and Sollux to get there at least, and he can see Jubilife in the distance already.

But that's not what makes him stop, just a second to catch his breath before his lungs feel like exploding. Of course Gamzee would make it further than him, but he'd at least expected to meet on the other side of Jubilife.

Karkat takes a few more short breaths before sprinting over to tree where he sees him.]

I fucking told you... not to push yourself too hard.

[mirthfulness]

[Gamzee's eyes light up upon seeing Karkat, and he steps up to latch onto him, only it's more like falling onto his shoulders than anything.]

Couldn't help myself. Don't all... need you bein' where I ain't.

[adorablthirsty]

[Part of him wants to roll his eyes, to be exasperated at just how stubborn Gamzee can be, but he smiles instead. It's hard to be annoyed at things like that now.

He doesn't mind supporting the other's weight, lifting his arms to wrap around him and lean against the tree himself with his face against Gamzee's shoulder.]

Yeah well, now look at you. You can barely stand on your own.

[mirthfulness]

Don't matter. I'll just get myself a nap and I'll be fine.

[Where he'd get this nap, he doesn't know. But that doesn't matter to him much either.]
