Adios Darling K
Well, my dear roommate got an offer she couldn't refuse for architecture school in Chicago. So I will be saying good bye to her in August. I'm happy for her, of course. But she is the center of my little circle of lez friends. And she is my roommate / platonic wife. I hasn't really sunk in yet how much I will miss her. But it's still a few months off. We'll have a fun summer together.
Ofcourse, this now throws my living situation into a bit of of flux. I love our house, but really don't want to live in it without Darling K. It would feel weird to share it with someone else. So I suppose I'll look for a place by myself. I just have to reconcile myself to paying $800+ for a studio on the hill or in lower Queen Anne.
Of course, I'm also applying for jobs in Portland. And who knows what my job situation will be in 3 months.
For now, I'm choosing to embrace the unknown.
