Terrifying

Do you want to know how to kill your buzz? Come home on a Friday night after a party to see your front door wide open.

It was around 1am and I had just left Johnny's birthday party. I pulled up to the house and saw the door wide open as if someone had just walked in and forgot to open the door. I walked in cautiously and didn't see anybody. I thought someone might have broken in, so I yelled "Hello?" to see if anyone was there. Then I realized it might be some murderer, so I turned around and left. I started calling everyone who left their car there, but no one picked up. I called my friend Chris E. and he suggested that I call the police.

I have never actually called 911 before, and I never hope to either. My phone beeped weirdly when I did. I told the operator I needed a cop to come over and inspect the house for me, because I was freaking out. Being a little drunk and high did not help the situation, but I'm not walking in there to get murdered. Anyways, then I had this conversation with the 911 operator:

911: So, just so that the officer can identify you better, are you White, Black, or Hispanic?
Me: I'm Asian.
911: So are you Indian?
Me: ... I'm Asian Asian.
911: Like, Vietnamese?
Me:: Yeah, let's go with that.

I was standing outside my neighbor's house the entire time, and I caught a glimpse of Quinn awake, so I rang his door bell a lot and told him my story. He got his huge dog Ali and we searched the house. Nothing was missing, and no one was around. It was creepy. A couple of minutes later, a cop arrived. I was about to go talk to him, but then he turned on his lights and sped away. My mind was going bonkers. The night just kept getting weirder.

Palermo eventually came home and we concluded that Billy K. or whoever left the house last didn't lock or close the door all the way and it might have swung open on its own. Quinn mentioned the door being open a while ago, but thought someone was home. Another cop came and told us that the first cop that came had to respond to another cop car flipping over at some other area. We told him our deal and he was pretty cool about everything and left shortly. From now on, I'm locking both locks when I leave.

In other news, I bought some ridiculous looking glasses. The new prescription is odd, with some additions for astigmatism. I'm still trying to get used to them, their look and power. Pictures to come someday.
