This is my obligatory entry for the week lol. I think its gonna be something i might do here and there. Lists of sorts. This one is something of a general nature, for everyone, but mainly based on my life an experiences.
Enter if you dare, i guess. lol
Life Isn't:
The money you make.
The fights you win or lose.
The girl you thought you loved. (or boy, for the girls)
Your follower count on Twitter.
Your friends on myspace or facebook.
The time you blow off the ones who are important.
The gifts you buy in hopes for that second chance.
The time spent listening to those who never cared.
The heart you say is "broken".
Your 19 year old angst you think you're all alone in.
Political movements and the coming of whichever God you believe.
The feuds you hold with your family.
The one that got away or the one you can't let go.
Thinking how your life is so miserable when its actually fine.
Holding onto things you know you should let go.
Crying over something that never should've happened
And, as i'm sure you can guess, the list goes on. But none of that is your life, as important as it all may seem. Life is something we take for granted. And no just the physical breaths we take, but the fact that the bonds we share with those close to us are the only reasons we're here. Imagine life without them, who would you be? Nobody...
Life is whatever you make it, but in the light that its something thats making you a better person. Moving you forward. Moving others forward. Anything in the opposite direction isn't life. It's a loss of it.
Sadly, i need to add to my own list of what life isn't, and to stop holding onto it all.
Ive fallen to my own bad habits and i need to move away from them. The people who i begrudge who aren't in my life anymore. The ones i envy because their lives have turned out or have remained as great as ever since my absences, and how i can't seem to stop being jealous of them, although they have no idea they affect me from time to time.
Life is about who you have in your life, not the ones who have left it, even though at some point in time they were a part of it.
Move forward. Progress.
Thats something i need to do most of all.
Actually, most of all... Grow up and escape this. Maybe not physically just yet, but escape my own constraints.
