(no subject)
BIRTHDAY DAY:
-left school after work at 1
-got home around 2:30
-went out w/ my mom to firehouse subs
-then to home depot and other random places
-left for chapel hill at 5
-got to chapel hilll at 5:30
-couldn't find cat's cradle for the life of me
-james called while i was driving around lost
-finally called patrick and just parked in a random parking lot
-then i watched tony finish a 9 lb. burrito (it was the size of a baby)
-finally brad arrived in carrboro so we walked over to cat's cradle
-the show sold out so tony couldn't go
-we got there while the first band tilly and the wall was playing
-they were awesome they had a tap dancer instead of a drummer
-i bought a rilo kiley tshirt during their set b/c it wasn't crowded
-after that band was done i wiggled my way right up to the second row
-eventually patrick and brad got there
-i guess i'm just better at crowd weaving
-the next band was neva dinova they were pretty good
-the band after that was now it's overhead
-the lead singer was really skinny
-there was a guy in the crowd that inched his way up to the front
-he looked like jesus
-and he smelled like sour milk
-then it was the good life set
-we caleed the lead singer yani
yani!
-they were pretty good
-they had bongos
-then it was time to RILO KILEY!
-it was sooo great!
-i have so many pictures i wont put them all on here
-when they walked off stage we just yelled and yelled for a good 5 mins
-then blake finally came back out and played a postal service cover
-then jenny joined in
-at the end of the set when blake was walking off the stage it was dark and he stepped on their cello
-he said it was sick now
-right before the encore brad yelled up to the stage that it was my birthday
-heres the conversation
Brad: It's her birthday!
Blake: Is it really your birthday?
Me: yes!
Blake: How old are you?
Me: 19
Blake: That's important.
Me: It's important to me!
Blake: I'm sure it's important to you!
-it was quite funny
-after the first encore song they played a song with tilly
-jenny tap danced along w/ their tap dancer it was really cool
