Catching up
The husband put away the last of the holiday decorations this morning. I finished off all but two of the comics in my "to read pile" from the past several weeks. He baked banana chocolate chip muffins yesterday, and is making me a carrot cake at the moment. So the weekend has been a good, productive one of catching up on things. With the cold yesterday and the rain today, that's about all we wanted to do, truth be told.
And the muffins were a particularly good batch this time.

It was an easy glaze, powdered sugar, vanilla, and browned butter (margarine, in our case), that firmed up quickly, even on a semi-warm cake. Very tasty to me, though it confirmed to the husband that carrot cake is not one of his favorites. ;)
