Better now

After a day of "uuuuuugh" - generally feeling achey and sore and lethargic (there was much on-and-off napping), I'm happy to say I feel 1,000% better today. One day of misery for some temporary protection from the worst effects of the flu and covid seems like an ok trade off.

And despite some dedicated gaming time (around the aforementioned naps), it did not translate to finding the final freakin' fish I need to catch in Animal Crossing New Horizons. I've caught all the bugs, and all the underwater sea critters, but there's one last fish that I haven't found yet. And of course it only shows up between December and March, and only from 4pm to 9am. I didn't focus on "finding them all" during the first year the game was out, but since I'm so close I want this last one. And then I'll get the DIY recipe for the golden fishing rod (and yes, I get how insane this sounds to non-gamers, but it's how I enjoy spending my leisure time, so there LOL).

Early (for me) meeting with the Hill today as Congress keeps working on various bills. I'm support on the call with a host of others from the Small Gubm'nt Agency, not expected to have to speak up, and hopefully it will stay that way. And sometime soon I' going to need to edit the bookshelf that serves as my video call background, as it's getting a little junky. It's one thing to have a couple of interesting things behind you, but too much is, well, too much - it's distracting to others on the call and not in a good way.

one last thing, sore, shots, vaccines, animal crossing, booster, work, acnh
