Updating everything
Got an updated offer letter with the new cost-of-living adjusted salary this afternoon, then spent the afternoon filling out new employee paperwork online. The Office of Personnel Management gave us the afternoon off for snow, closing all government offices in the DC area because of a forecasted snow system that started with some spitting rain as I left the office. So I suppose this was a productive way to spend the afternoon. ;)
So it looks like everything is set to start two weeks from today. A party invite went out to a bunch of folks today for a little going away next week, so I started getting a barrage of "where are you going‽" emails just before the office closed. So I'll face those tomorrow when I get back in.
In the meantime I'm making some brown rice in the instant pot because I felt like it. Actually I had been planning on dinner solo and needed some rice, but the husband cancelled class so he's on his way home. No clue what I'll make now, but there will be rice in any case.
