A Tribute to Ma Femme

Passages from the travel journal I (sporadically at best) kept while en france.

"I've been spending a whole lot of time with Emily lately which is cool cause I'm pretty sure that she's a good influence on me. She is so incredibly sweet and honest and caring and it's amazing what a good kid she is. Her parents seem a little over-bearing but I mean, I know that's why she turned out so well. The only thing I've found that I really don't like about her is that she sees no problem with the confederate flag. I would think that as intelligent and sweet as she is, that she'd realize that all the flag represents is the suppression of another group of people just because of their skin color. We do have a lot of fun together, though. We've eaten lunch together pretty much every day this last week. We also went shopping and I convinced her to buy a tank top for herself. It was her birthday and she didn't even want to buy that for herself. "

"When we (Emily and I) finished with that we took the metro back to the hotel which was really exciting because we did it all on our own!"

"Now we're back at the hotel and we've been trying to get into bed forever but it wasn't happening because she's lost her mind. She's been singing all night."

"...we went kind of away from it so we could get away from Martin (remember him??? such good times!) but he did eventually find us. I feel so bad because he is possibly one of the nicest people in the world, but it's hard to even keep from laughing at him."

"Today was a pretty good day but very trying. I'm pretty sure Emily and I were both getting on each other's nerves but it's okay because we're cool now. This morning we got up and went to the Pere Fachaise (I think that's what it says...) cemetary and we stayed there until almost one even though I was really wanting to leave by about eleven. It was okay though because I know that that was the thing Emily wanted to see most here."

I also talked a little bit about the tour guide type guy that was really cute and funny on the boat down the seine. Remember that?We took pictures with him and then we ended up seeing him at the metro.
