Chapter 5: A Very Turnabout Christmas

Dec 18, 2008 12:40

'Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a drunken louse;
The weedkiller was hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that the mistletoe would just stop growing right there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
Except for the ones out killing the undeads;
And out in the woods, far from all the regular crap,
An unusual cabin was suffering a cold snap.

Then out on the roof there rose such a clutter,
You'd think someone was up there doing Riverdance, the nutter;
Across the window fell something in a flash,
Almost like someone had dropped it in their mad dash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
Really amplified the sudden cry of "No, oh no!;
With a whoosh and a thump of that person so dear,
Down came a body, no longer filled with holiday cheer.

Silence fell then, and as far as it seems,
Something foul was afoot at this once festive scene;
With the stage now set, I'm sure you're well aware,
The mystery is yours to solve... if you dare.
