to buy, to wait, or not to buy?

i have been thinking of getting an iphone 3g.

i recently posted about a LG phone, but it really doesn't compare to an iphone. recent observations show that i've actually been looking at iphone look alike phones and found them really pretty and stylish.. nag over think nanaman ako and realized that it's really the iphone that i want.

i even went to the mall and checked the new samsung phone... and still found the iphone prettier.

and so i checked the globe website and saw this:

call me dumb, but what's the difference between local mobile internet hours vs WIZ wi-fi hours? when do you use which?

what if, for example, i am at home and running on pldt dsl wifi, will globe still charge me even if i use my own wifi?

i can settle with the 1,599 plan, but i'm just not sure with the number of free text messages. i mean, seriously, i will probably just use calls and texts and won't even use those 3G and MMS stuff. i don't know how to use them. hahaha. so you'd probably think why the hell do i want such a phone if i don't even use those services right?

my philosophy with gadgets and stuff is that, if it looks pretty and stylish, then it's worth it. like example, my sony t7 digital camera.

i got it because it's thin and pretty. it's actually 5 megapixel, but when i take photos, i just use VGA. haha. i actually rarely use it nowadays, thanks to everyone else who bring their cameras. :)

so like my sony T7 camera, the iphone is really pretty. there's also another option that we can choose:

i'm also fine with the 1,200 peso plan with 22,900 cash out for the unit. that looks reasonable enough. but i want to know about that internet charging thing.. hmm.. maybe i should go to globe soon.

now i'm thinking, what if i just get the old iphone? i can still use that given my existing number right? but what's the difference between that and the 3g? given that i'm really not a 3g techie, the old one is fine okay for me, right?

other than that, what else is different with the new one?

so question remains, do we flake? catch the bait? or wait?

i think the best option for now is wait. maybe a month and a half of waiting would be enough. i'd get one near my birthdate and see if there will be a difference.

what do you think?

apple, globe telecom, iphone 3g, iphone
