the prince is having a ball!
watched cinderella in CCP earlier this evening with rkr777,car2un,tiupumps and rosalinda.
i wasn't actually supposed to join them, but since pakingsheyt cannot make it, i had to go last minute, sayang naman the ticket.
generally it was just okay. there was nothing great about it, nor was there anything appalling about it. roger & hammerstein are pretty traditional so there's nothing spectacular to see. i liked the costumes, props and the set design. i was surprised to see that all the cast were caucasian. only lea was the pinoy in the group, at first i thought it was a local production. but ton and i surmised that the show was probably on tour, changing lead talents per country? ewan. maybe lang.
i have a bit of a problem with CCP acoustics.. everything didn't sound so full.. i think acoustics in rcbc is better than ccp.
lea was great. though she looked too mommy-ish to me already. it seemed like she wasn't best fit as cinderella. but of course, she sang and performed great. show stealer was fairygodmother. she was really good.
most of the humor were too american. there were funny parts, but not laughable funny. i felt like people laughed on certain parts when they joked just for the sake of laughing at banters.
oh and the audience, the audience were composed mostly of older people. there weren't much people of our age. plus, it was a purse/handbag showdown. ang daming naka chanel. ewan ko kung bakit..
