In the mid '90s, the FDA took it upon themselves to regulate tobacco. In March 2000, a 5:4 Supreme Court ruling ended that. In the ruling, delivered by Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, it was noted that compliant with the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), if the tobacco were to fall under the jurisdiction of FDA, FDA would be obliged to ban it ( Read more... )

Lol, this is funny. Ok, #1 the ability to use tobacco isnt a right in the constitution, therefore they are taking no right away from you. #2, trust me, they will never ban all forms of smoking tobacco, our econemy is too dependant on it.

But I guess, people who can't spell 'economy' should be excused for having opinions like this.

Yeah, the people just do not get it [ 1],[ 2]. If they are going to joke around, cannot they at least be funny?
