It seems I have become enmeshed in a mystery.
After the night when I trysted with the blonde vampire calling herself Harmony, I checked with Personnel and discovered that there is no one on staff, temporary or otherwise, bearing that name. It is not a common name, so I must assume that for whatever the reason, she did not want me to know who she truly is. I discreetly asked around, and none of the employees with whom I've spoken have any idea who she might be.
There are others who may have information concerning this, but I do not feel it would be wise to ask them. I think it best that
Mr. Gunn remain in the dark about my extracurricular activities, as it were. He is already chafing under my leadership; it would not do to give him leverage of any sort. And lovely
Lilah would use the knowledge of my dalliance to her advantage, I'm sure. She suspects something... there are very few here who are as intuitive as she. But I prefer to keep her guessing.
So I must wait for her to reveal herself to me again. I find myself sitting in my office late into the night, my fingers idly stroking the scar she left, listening to the silence. Hoping that she will visit me. I am not a patient man. Perhaps I'll be fortunate and it will happen soon.
