...Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn."
John Muir
US (Scottish-born) conservationist & naturalist (1838 - 1914)
Today is an absolutely beautiful day. The sun is shining, the sky is clear and blue, and there's an ever so slight gentle breeze. I woke up to the outside wall and trees completely bathed in warm yellow sunshine, and I knew that today would be a good day. I had fun getting dressed into interesting combos of clothes (a jean skirt, patterned tights, sequined shoes, tank top, and polka dot cardigan), grabbed a Slim-Fast, and headed out to class with Colleen. During class we enjoyed a bouncy game of Monopoly on Colleen's cell phone before getting let out a half hour early. We then strolled (I frolicked a little) over to Drumheller Fountain where we sat outside reading and gazing out over Mt. Rainier. Later we headed into our Geology class, which we always enjoy. After class Colleen and I parted ways and I headed back to the dorm, but not before stopping on the Quad Lawn to read some more from the oh so intriguing Brothel, by Alexa Albert. Then on the way home I called my mom and had a leisurely conversation discussing the new baby and my radiant sister. Even though I have mountains of homework ahead of me, and little sleep, I can honestly say right now that I am truly happy. I hope everyone else is having such a carthartic day as I am. I love you all.
