Los Angeles, CA., January 25 -- Former child star Gary Coleman has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge of domestic assault. RadarOnline.com reports that the American actor was booked at 1:28 p.m. MST and was taken to Utah County Jail by authorities.

Coleman in jail A law enforcement source told RadarOnline.com: "He's been booked. He's in the jail right now." Coleman was in custody due to an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police have not revealed identity of the victim but they confirm Coleman is currently being held on a $1,725 bail. This is not the first time the tiny actor is involved in legal dispute. He was arrested for assault in 2008 when he allegedly hit a fan with his truck outside a Utah bowling alley.

Also, back in 1999 he pleaded no contest after punching an autograph-seeker he claimed had insulted him. Incident follows Price’s arrest Coleman’s Sunday’s arrest comes nearly six months after his wife’s arrest on domestic violence charges. Shannon Price, the 23-year-old wife of former child star Coleman, was arrested and booked on July 1, 2009, in domestic battery and disorderly conduct charges.

Price, who is 5-feet-5, reportedly had locked her 41-year-old, 4-foot-8 tall, husband out of the house during an argument and was allegedly yelling obscenities out the window. She also trashed his bedroom, throwing items around the home, as well as toppled furniture and scattered DVDs. “You deserve this after how you treated me!" she shouted at Coleman. And, when the cops arrived at her Utah driveway, Price allegedly greeted them with a profane tirade. "F--- you and f--- him!" she screamed before her arrest. Police officials claimed at the time that Price "yelled and called officer 'f***er' and told officer 'f**k you and f**k him several times."
