My friend Jenny is so thoughtful. She sent me a DVD player in the mail. It's because my VCR player broke a couple months ago and I didn't want to get a new one because I rarely rent movies anyway. I figured I would just read instead. I was so surprised to find the package in my door when I got home from work. I tried to hook the DVD player up, but it is really complicated. Even when I looked at the directions I couldn't figure it out. How frustrating. And I'm afraid of plugging things in to the wrong places.
I had dinner with Saja at Priya. Saja's leaving for Palestine next Thursday. She got a summer internship working with Palestinian political prisoners. I'm kind of jealous, because I am not in a position to take off like that, since I have rent to pay, bills, my kitties, etc. If I could, I would be traveling all the time.
Things have been looking up for me mood-wise, although I am still worried about things like getting a full-time job, retaking the Bar Exam, and taking all the steps for Solomon to come here. I have gotten to the point where I hate whenever anyone asks about Solomon because it's always the same news-- waiting. Well, at least I'm planning a trip for September.
