Okay I really like working at Sam Bernstein's office. The people there are so nice. They are always praising me and telling me how much they appreciate my work. Today I mentioned that I'm only there for the summer, and a woman in my department said she's already sad I'll be leaving. They even rearranged their lunch outings so that I can try their favorite restaurant on Wednesday. They usually go on Friday when I'm not there, but they decided to switch just for me. What a way to make a girl feel special!

I went to the library today and I am astounded that I seem to be turning away from fiction. I got like four books on West Africa, including one I'm reading right now about an anthropologist's experiences with a Cameroonian mountain tribe. It's called "Ceremony" and it's pretty good so far. Of course now that I'm finished with stupid law school, I'm wishing that I had gone into anthropology instead. I guess the grass is always greener.... But wouldn't I make a great anthropology professor? I think all of this was sparked when I met the anthropologist who studies migration patterns on the plane. He was cool.

Solomon's sick, and whenever I talk on the phone to him he sounds like he's about to die. He's a real drama queen that way. I think if I was sick and he called I would try to sound normal just so the conversation would be more enjoyable. Sometimes I hate calling Solomon because I know he won't have anything to say, but if I don't call him for like one day he flips out. He always says that once he has heard my voice he is okay for the day, which I think is sweet.

I met Amy at Priya for lunch. In hindsight, I think all I did was shovel food down my mouth and then try to talk really fast because I knew we only had an hour. But it was still worth it to see her. Even though we don't have that much in common, she is a good friend and is always there for me.
