Well my Junior year has started hoorah. In my creative writing class, my teacher, Mrs. Arnold played us a tune. It sounded like some crickets chirping in the backround with some operahesque singers. If you've heard 'Shanandoah' by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, it sounded quite similar. I enjoyed listening to it as I wrote about my streaming thoughts about Trails End-- there's controversy I found about that place that I'll have to figure out another time. Anyway, after the piece ended she asked us what the music sounded like. We all responded with different ideas. I found the one about it sounding like a whale to be interesting, [originally i had funny but again there's nothing humorous about it!] becuase if you've ever heard a whale it did sound quite similar; it was a good connection. She explained to us that the sound we heard, the singing voices or whale if that swings your way, was actually the sound of the crickets slowed down to our human metabolism; our pace. I found that to be fucking amazing. I mean you slow down the quick chirps of crickets and it sounds like a symphony almost.
