Friday Night!
Nicole and I showed up at K.Kreme at about 10:45pm and Jaron showed up shortly after that... everyone else was late but it's alright. From there we went to The Boat to eat some Thai food cause Jaron and Patty wanted some noodles... it was pretty good. After that we decided that we'd go to Turnbull and do some driving. It was about 1am, so it seemed like fun.
I led us over there. It was Me and Nicole (my S13), Matt and Melinda(sp?) (Civic EJ6), Erick and Dawn (CB7 Accord), and Jaron and Patty (patty's S13), and all driving in that order. When we got on to TBC there was a pickup truck in the way, and the driver wouldn't pull over. I was giving him room, and Nicole was telling me to give him a little space so I didn't piss him off and he'd get over... you know, polite stuff. Unfortunetly the polite stuff wasn't happening. We were getting to the narrows and he still hadn't pulled over. I would have passed him but there were 3 people behind me that had to pass too... so screw that. I got up on his ass and reved... still nothing.
We hit Skyline Drive and he was still in the way. Nicole who says to me, "Ok, we were nice, turn on the brights." Now I'm blinding this fool, I'm on his ass, and finally he gets onto the other side of the road just in time for us to all pass him and hit the 2nd corner in. It was a fun drive down, and when we got to the bottom I saw a white FC3S fly by. We all pulled over and we were talking. I accidently parked too close to this bush, so Nicole couldn't get out of the car... she improvised and rolled down the window to pick flowers. My car is now decorated and smells very nice. :)
We were there a few minutes when the FC guy came back. Right away I noticed it wasn't the same guy from the night before. I thought it was until Nicole pointed out that the taillights were like shauns and not the round lights. He turned a quick U turn and parked off to the side of the road. We chilled and looked over at him, but he never got out of the car. Nicole and I decided to go talk to him. We walked over there with Jaron and Matt close behind us. He rolled down his window and we talked a bit.
His name is Nick. He's lived in the area for a while and drives Turnbull whenever he gets the chance... but now he goes to school in LA or something so he's only around on occassions... I think weekends. He was out trying to find some fun, but wasn't finding much... then he came up on all of us. We exhanged contacts and stuff so he's gonna come meet up with us sometime probably. I told him we were going back over and he wanted to join us. I let him lead. He knew the road very well, and I'd say he knew it about as well as Me, Nic, and Bri know it. He didn't seem to push too hard but kept up good speed... I was able to stay with him most of the way, but towards the end where you get closer to Hacienda Heights he got a good corner ahead of me. I was impressed by that because it's harder on that side and most people don't like to drive it as much because of it being more narrow/blind/difficult. I don't know what happened to Matt and Jaron...
I saw them coming up the straight away behind me and the FC when we started our run, but I didn't see them again. Nicole said something about them saying something about me through the uniden's but I didn't really hear it... I think for the most part Jaron wasn't pushing it because it was Patty's car on blown struts, and Matt wasn't pushing it too hard because of his passanger.
It was fun. :)
