So I went to my nephew's house for mother's day (with my mom, of course) and had a blast. They've got ANOTHER dog. I think it's a Wheaton Terrier, but we were making terrier jokes all day and now I'm confused. Anyhow, he looks a bit like Einstien (thier other dog) only without the cow ancestry. He's literally red, with these beautiful light green and blue eyes, and his name is Frodo. He's a floppy 11-week old puppy, and he's sort of like a Ragdoll cat. You pick him up, and he just goes limp. I held him like a baby and he passed out in like two minutes, complete with snoring. And Einstien thinks he's Frodo's mommy, and protects him from Doodles (the little psychotic Jack Russel). It is tooth-rottingly sweet.

Also while I was there, they gave me my graduation-birthday gift. A little waterproof padded box with a note inside--

"So, you graduate from college and all you get is this stupid box!

Ha ha ha ha!

Go look in our trailer outside..."

I wasn't even aware they had a trailer. I missed it somehow when I was walking up. I started to lift up the corner of the tarp covering the trailer, and Jeremy scolded me that I was doing it wrong. He grabs the corner and whips the whole tarp off in one dramatic movement, and underneath--

A kayak. A blue, one-seater kayak, perfectly sized for me to fit on top of my little sedan. And the oars, too. And a blue life vest. My godmom gave me a dry bag and a giant beach towel/picnic blanket to go with it.

Next month, when the mountain lakes are a bit warmer, I'm going to go kayaking with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephews. We're going to fish and chase newts and have picnics on the islands in the middle of the lakes. I'm so happy. I don't know how to express it fully.
